About the Role:

The RN Regional Float Pool Kansas position is a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality care across the region. As a member of our float pool team, you will have the chance to work in various units, including Critical Care, ED, Surgical Services, Medical Surgical, Procedural, Women's Services, and Behavioral Health. This role is designed to provide additional support to supplement the workload and staffing needs across the system.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Promote optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through the use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Requirements:

  • Enterprise Float Pool Level 2 employees will be assigned to one of four zones determined based on your home location and must be able to travel within the zones.
  • For Full Time/Part Time positions: 18 months of experience in unit type/specialty area.
  • For PRN positions: 24 months of experience in unit type/specialty area.
  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
  • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required.
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to unit type or specialty area.
  • Additional certifications required based on specialty.
