The Educational Service Unit 3 is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Healthcare Assistant - Student Support to join their team. This role plays a vital part in supporting students with special needs, ensuring they receive the care and attention they require.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position working 181 days per year.
  • As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers, speech language pathologists, and other professionals to provide individualized support to students.
  • You will be responsible for performing medically related duties, such as feeding, toiletry assistance, and therapy support.
  • In addition to these tasks, you will also assist with classroom arrangements, maintain daily routines, and gather materials for individual students or centers.
  • Effective communication and collaboration are essential skills for this role, as you will need to respond to class needs and work with students on learning tasks and activities.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required for this position.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification are mandatory, and Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
  • You must have a clean background check and be able to pass regular background checks.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are crucial for this role, as you will be expected to provide consistent support to students throughout the day.
