We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide services to students in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of various therapy techniques and interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory integration, and functional abilities to determine individualized therapy goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and interventions to address students' specific needs and facilitate their progress.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to student care.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy interventions as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and staff on strategies and accommodations to promote students' functional independence and participation within the school environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including therapy plans, progress reports, and billing documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid State Occupational Therapist license.
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IEP (Individualized Education Program) process and experience in collaborating with special education teams.
  • Strong understanding of various therapy techniques and interventions for children with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet student needs and documentation requirements.
