Post Surgical RN PRN Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Post Surgical RN PRN to join our team at Trident Medical Center. As a member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Job Summary

The Post Surgical RN PRN will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients
  • Manage efficient flow of patient care including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care and comfort, and arranging for admissions, testing and discharges
  • Maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed)
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree
