Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post Surgical Neuro Oncology team at Trident Medical Center. As a Post Surgical RN PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver individualized care to patients in accordance with established nursing models and departmental standards.
  • Collaborate with medical providers and other members of the care team to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.
  • Manage the efficient flow of patient care, including screening, preparation for exams, providing general nursing care, and arranging for admissions, testing, and discharges.
  • Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of South Carolina.
  • Experience in post surgical nursing, preferably in a neuro oncology setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
