The primary responsibility of this role is to manage press operations, lead the press team, and set up and operate the printing press to produce high-quality multicolor prints that meet our clients' expectations.

  • Accurately input job completion information into our OMS visual system
  • Proactively plan job materials to ensure everything is ready
  • Review job orders for print quantities, stock specifications, and special instructions
  • Thoroughly document job requirements
  • Oversee printing operations and troubleshoot any issues
  • Communicate tasks to the feeder operator and assist with ink fountain cleaning and press upkeep
  • Maintain color consistency on the printing press
  • Prepare the press for the subsequent shift during changeovers
  • Carry out additional assigned responsibilities

Qualifications and educational requirements:

  • Must pass a color/vision assessment
  • Successful completion of drug and background checks
  • Prior experience in printing press operation; familiarity with Komori equipment is a plus
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Effective problem-solving skills with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of machine operation, repair, and maintenance
  • Proficient organizational and computer skills
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and follow instructions accurately
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods
