About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Tendit Job Opportunities. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Vehicle Repairs and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair issues with brakes, ignition systems, electrical systems, transmissions, differentials, and hydraulic systems.
  • Inspect and Overhaul Automotive Electrical Equipment: Inspect, repair, overhaul, and assemble automotive electrical equipment such as generators, distributors, magnetos, and starters.
  • Maintain Accurate Vehicle Records: Keep detailed records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Check and Order Parts: Verify parts stock, place orders, and check orders for accuracy upon receipt.
  • Participate in Training and Development: Participate in industry-related training opportunities and stay up-to-date with the latest technical publications.
  • Ensure Quality and Cleanliness: Take ownership of the quality of work performed and the cleanliness of the workshop.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate within the team and with field operations to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Be a Team Player: Contribute to the overall success of our growing and diverse team.
Requirements
  • Mechanical and Electrical Systems Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Operational Skills: Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, diagnostic tools, and repair equipment.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team.
  • Additional Skills: Paving, street sweeping, striping equipment, and pressure washing equipment are a plus.
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or GED, current and valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Language Skills: Good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal communication skills, and good organizational skills.
