High Voltage Electrician for PacifiCorp

PacifiCorp is a leading utility company seeking a skilled High Voltage Electrician to join its team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and repairing high-voltage equipment in our substations.
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced electrician with a strong understanding of AC and DC electrical theory. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to acquire a Medical Examiner's Certificate. Additionally, they should be able to understand and comply with company policies and procedures, as well as follow safety rules and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
Responsibilities- Install, test, and repair high-voltage equipment, including protection relays, circuit breakers, and transformers.
- Use computer systems to communicate with substation equipment and operate test gear.
- Complete maintenance and commissioning forms accurately and submit them to the relevant departments.
- Routinely operate substation equipment and perform switching and grounding tasks as necessary.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A REQUIRED WRITTEN EXAMINATION REFLECTIVE OF AC AND DC ELECTRICAL THEORY.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- The ability to understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
- The ability to follow safety rules and use PPE as needed.

Additional InformationThis role requires working in confined spaces or on elevated platforms, which can include bucket trucks, ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms. You must be able to lift and move heavy objects exceeding 50 pounds. Additionally, you may work alone or in crews, under the direction of others or directing the work of others, depending on the task at hand.
