Industrial Trade Services is seeking a highly skilled Pipe Fitter Specialist to join our team. As a Pipe Fitter Specialist, you will be responsible for fitting stainless steel pipe for tig welders, ensuring high-quality installations and meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret P&ID's and isometric drawings to determine the scope of work, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
- Layout, fabricate, and install pipe spools from spool sheets, adhering to industry standards and company procedures.
- Flame cut pipe to length and bevel, clean, and prepare pipe for fit-up, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Perform layout, rigging, and transportation of pipe, valves, and fittings, utilizing manual, pneumatic, and electric tools.
- Thread pipe using threading machines, bend pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machines, and plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers.
- Properly select and use manual, pneumatic, and electric tools according to tasks, hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane, and use proper hand signals with heavy equipment operators.
- Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies, and properly test piping systems for leaks by the correct use of hydro-testing equipment.
- Secure pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools, and help maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of Pipefitting experience in an Industrial or Petrochemical setting.
- NCCER certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to pass a craft test.
