Position: Overhead Transmission Heavy Equipment Operator

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of various machinery including cranes, boom trucks, knuckle booms, and bulldozers, among others, essential for overhead transmission tasks, wire tensioning, and pulling operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work safely around hazardous machinery.
  • Engage in tasks near energized components or equipment.
  • Navigate through traffic and may require training in traffic flagging.
  • Work in environments with high noise levels from various machines.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Proficient in operating various tools required for the job.
  • Ability to maintain focus during potentially hazardous tasks.
  • Physical endurance to perform duties throughout a standard workday.

Education & Experience:

  • NCCCO Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience operating backhoes, trenchers, excavators, skid steers, bulldozers, and other relevant equipment is essential.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Candidates may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and/or motor vehicle record check.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • CDL is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.

Travel Expectations:

  • Willingness to travel and work away from home is essential.
