Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Blossom Hotel is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel's physical environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance and repairs to hotel equipment and facilities.
  • Assist in checking electrical systems, including air conditioning controls, television sets, and lighting systems.
  • Make minor repairs and replacements as needed.
  • Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.
  • Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening.
  • Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters.
Requirements:
  • At least one year of previous engineering/maintenance experience in a hotel, hospital, apartment, or office building.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Flexibility to work AM, PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to use a computer or tablet.
  • Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, stand on feet for at least eight hours, and lift, push, or pull 25-75 pounds.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, H.V.A.C., and boilers.
  • Experience in painting, drywall, caulking, and carpentry preferred.
  • Electrician experience preferred.
