Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse Practitioner

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Neonatology Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a key member of our team, you will provide expert care to critically ill newborns and their families, working collaboratively with our board-certified physicians to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Apply the nursing process to provide individualized care to patients in the NICU, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Supervise clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership, and patient care management across the healthcare continuum.
- Collaborate with the medical director and chief nursing officer to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote high-quality patient care.
- Provide expert care to patients, including those requiring delivery room resuscitations and assessment of unstable newborns in the mother-baby unit.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Master of Nursing Degree
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current State of California Registered Nurse and Neonatology Nurse Practitioner (NNP) License (eligible to obtain)
- National Certification as a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
- Current DEA license and Furnishing Number
- Current BLS and PALS certification
