Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist Job Description

Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist to join our team in the Wall, NJ office location. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a growing outpatient radiology practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including PET/CT scanners, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, either by injection or orally, and insert IV catheters as needed.
  • Perform and document radiation-related surveys to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Respect and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service training programs, and other meetings as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with policies and procedures related to employee and patient safety.
  • Perform other related technical and clerical duties to ensure the efficient operation of the Nuclear Medical Laboratory.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Appropriately licensed in the State of NJ to complete Nuclear Medicine and PET CT studies.
  • Registered or registry eligible by ARRT in Nuclear Medicine Technology or by the CNMT registry.
  • Current and valid CPR/BLS certification.
  • Ability to insert IV catheters.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment under time constraints.
