About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Psynergy Programs, Inc. as a Residential Care Specialist. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents who are physically ill, disabled, recovering, or elderly.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities, including rising out of bed, bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, walking, or exercising, social actions, or rehabilitation programs.
  • Turn or re-position bedridden residents.
  • Record vital signs, height, and weight; measure and record dietary intake and urinary and fecal output.
  • Administer medications or treatments as directed.
  • Collect specimens.
  • Observe or examine residents to detect symptoms that may require medical attention.
  • Assist nurses or physicians in the operation of medical equipment or provision of care.
  • Transport residents to treatment units, operating rooms, or other areas using wheelchairs, stretchers, or movable beds.
  • Clean and sanitize resident clothing, rooms, bathrooms, examination rooms, or other areas.
  • Position or hold residents for surgical preparations.
  • Perform immediate and temporary interventions in emergency situations.
  • Assist with admission, transfer, or discharge activities.
  • Sort, count, and distribute linens and clothing.
  • Assist in serving meals and special diets.
Requirements
  • Full Vaccination against COVID-19 - CA required.
  • A valid Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the California Department of Public Health - required.
  • Great attitude - required.
  • Experience working in behavioral health or in residential care - preferred.
