Job Overview

Position Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and managing the maintenance team to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our operational systems and equipment.

Key Details:

Shifts: Night shift

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of various equipment including motors, pumps, conveyors, and packaging machinery.
  • Request necessary tools, equipment, and supplies for maintenance tasks.
  • Review completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Analyze production schedules to estimate labor requirements for job completion.
  • Adjust work procedures to align with production timelines.
  • Communicate company policies to team members and enforce safety regulations.
  • Propose improvements in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance efficiency.
  • Resolve work-related issues and assist team members in problem-solving.
  • Encourage and motivate team members to meet performance goals.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to synchronize departmental activities.
  • Maintain accurate records in the preventive maintenance system.
  • Advise on inventory management for maintenance parts.
  • Exhibit flexibility in work schedule, including weekends as needed.
  • Foster a positive work environment and maintain professional interactions with all stakeholders.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence; capable of presenting information effectively.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate rates and interpret data.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping systems and software such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic is advantageous.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in food manufacturing or a related field.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
