We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor II to join our team at Goodwill Central Coast. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising the processing of wares and ready-to-wear items, preparing them for shipment and sale.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and supervise production and dock staff to ensure efficient processing of goods.
- Monitor production goals, sales, and distribute product accordingly.
- Schedule resources, including labor, space, inventories, and supplies, to support efficient processing.
- Supervise staff, including selection, promotion, demotion, discipline/termination, training, performance appraisal, and salary change recommendations.
- Complete and submit required paperwork to ensure proper administration of established systems.
- Assist with coordinating and supervising dock staff in the offloading and loading of merchandise from Goodwill Central Coast trailers.
- Ensure the maintenance and proper use of equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, compactor, baler, and forklifts.
- Develop a safe work environment through training staff in safe work practices, communicating periodic safety information, and performing safety inspections.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class C California Driver's License.
- Forklift operation certification.
- Two years progressively responsible material handler experience, including one year in a lead capacity.
The work environment is varied, with occasional periods of high activity/demand. The job requires some emotional effort involving occasional short deadlines.
