Urology Nurse Specialist

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Urology team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services in various healthcare settings.
- Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, and document findings in patient records.
- Notify physicians of abnormal findings and perform telephone triage and call rotations.
- Perform nursing procedures, administer treatments, and medications as prescribed.
- Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs, and facilitate discharge planning.
- Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care.
- Educate patients and families on urology care and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of recent experience as an RN in urology or a related field.
- Two years of recent experience as an RN in urology or a related field.
This role requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. You will also need to stand and walk for extensive periods of time and have corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
This role requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Personal Protective Equipment:You will be required to follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
