Job Summary

The City of Concord is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer - Law Enforcement Professional to join our team. As a key member of our law enforcement department, you will be responsible for maintaining public safety and order, enforcing laws and regulations, and providing exceptional service to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol and Respond to Calls: Respond to emergency calls, conduct patrols, and enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order.
  • Investigate Crimes and Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations of crimes and incidents, gather evidence, and interview witnesses and suspects.
  • Provide Community Service: Engage with the community, provide education and outreach, and build relationships with local residents and businesses.
  • Collaborate with Other Agencies: Work closely with other law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and community organizations to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in law enforcement or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
  • Licensing and Certifications: Valid North Carolina driver's license, and ability to obtain Basic Law Enforcement Certification.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a variety of environments, including extreme temperatures, wet conditions, and high-stress situations. The successful candidate must be physically fit and able to perform the duties of the job with minimal supervision.
