Deputy Sheriff

The County of Merrimack is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Sheriff to join our team. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will be responsible for performing all duties encumbered upon you in accordance with the law, under the mandate of the Sheriff, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by statute in and for the State of New Hampshire.

• Perform all duties in accordance with the law and the guidelines set forth by statute
• Work under the mandate of the Sheriff and in accordance with the guidelines set forth by statute
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to ensure public safety
• Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
• Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support cases
• Testify in court as necessary

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related field (preferred)
• Five years of law enforcement experience
• State of New Hampshire full-time certification as a police officer prior to hire
• Valid New Hampshire driver's license
• Pass an in-depth background check
