Shift: 2nd shift position, with initial training on 1st shift.
The Production Associate is tasked with executing light secondary operations, including cleaning, washing, deburring, buffing, and basic machining tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring that all processes are carried out efficiently while adhering to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operate under the guidance of the department supervisor with minimal oversight.
- Conduct light secondary operations such as deburring, washing, and cleaning of components.
- Perform tasks including drilling, cutting, tapping, buffing, and simple machining.
- Adhere to all operational procedures, including the use of cleaning agents, coating mixtures, and machinery settings.
- Transport materials and components, ensuring proper loading into machinery.
- Interpret blueprints and technical documents accurately.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all safety protocols and quality guidelines.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on equipment, ensuring removal of any contaminants.
- Report any defective materials or unusual conditions to the supervisor.
- Comply with standard operating procedures as per company policy.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to handle small parts with dexterity.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints and using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Capability to lift weights ranging from 10 to 55 lbs, with frequent lifting of 20-55 lbs.
- Willingness to stand or sit for extended periods, up to 8-10 hours daily.
- Good manual dexterity and visual acuity are essential.
- Exposure to industrial cleaning chemicals and oils may occur.
