About the Role

MITRE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Lead to drive innovative solutions, thought leadership, and evidence-based recommendations for the Intelligence Community (IC) to deliver benefits and services to our Mission Partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define impactful mission outcomes and stakeholder decisions to support those outcomes.
  • Make actionable recommendations and deliver data-driven technical products and prototypes.
  • Accountable for overall direction, technical quality, resource planning, internal and external coordination, execution, and outcomes of MITRE work associated with the National Reconnaissance Office's Mission Integration Directorate.
  • Staff the project and ensure that the right talent is supporting the tasks, ensuring quality products, and successfully deliver the work program.

Requirements

  • Top Secret/SCI clearance and possess or be willing to obtain a polygraph.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Experience in National Security Acquisitions.
  • Strong interpersonal communications, including verbal and written abilities in breaking down a complex big picture into usable components; capturing requirements and design information; translating across stakeholder communities to enable effective coordination of technical and programmatic information to influence government leadership decisions; coordinating action among distributed engineering teams consisting of government and contractors.
  • This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with polygraph endorsement.
  • Degree in Engineering with emphasis on data engineering, or related technical field such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, computer science, or related STEM program.
  • A working understanding of space systems and how they interact with ground systems.
  • High competency in National Security Acquisition support.
  • A working understanding of:
    • Innovation Design
    • Acquisitions
    • Prototype to baseline technology insertion
  • Prior professional experience in the US Intelligence, Space, or Defense Community.
