We are currently seeking a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless patient experience and efficient office operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients warmly and professionally.
- Manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle referrals.
- Accurately document phone messages.
- Input complete patient demographics during appointment scheduling.
- Verify and ensure the accuracy of patient charts.
- Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Monitor patient flow in the reception area and communicate effectively with patients.
- Collect patient payments proactively.
- Maintain weekly inventory updates.
- Uphold patient dignity and empathy in all interactions.
- Process inventory orders as needed.
- Conduct end-of-day reports and balance payment totals.
- Distribute incoming correspondence in patient charts.
- Address all phone messages, faxes, and interdepartmental mail promptly.
- Assist colleagues as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- 1-3 years of recent experience as a Medical Receptionist in a clinical or surgical environment (preferred).
- Experience in Dermatology is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations.
- Able to multitask effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using multi-line phone systems.
- Capable of operating standard office equipment (computer, fax, copier, scanner, etc.).
- Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to accurately sort and file materials.
- Willingness to travel to other local offices as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and reach.
- Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard.
- Correctable vision to 20/20 and normal hearing range for telephone communication.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
