Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars according to production sheets and recipes.
  • Food Quality and Presentation: Ensure that all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor food levels and replenish in a timely manner.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
  • Teamwork: Work effectively as part of a team to achieve store goals and objectives.
  • Adherence to Store Standards: Follow and comply with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 6-12 months retail experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Thorough product knowledge, ability to follow a recipe, good understanding of food production and fundamental cooking techniques, good basic math skills, strong to excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and work in wet and dry conditions.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and use of tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
