Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Quadient. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing equipment at customer locations. Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, and repair equipment at customer locations
  • Diagnose technical issues and provide solutions to ensure effective functioning of equipment and controls
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and provide technical recommendations and solutions
  • Provide training and guidance to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of products
  • Configure hardware and software components after installation
  • Perform routine maintenance on technology equipment
  • Test equipment to troubleshoot issues
  • Keep clients informed of progress during maintenance or system downtime
  • Maintain all tools and equipment used during service calls
  • Teach customers how to use equipment properly
  • Manage stock of replacement parts and equipment
  • Ability to articulate and document technical issues for escalation
  • Evaluate customer needs and initiate additional products or services
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • 0-2 years of electrical/mechanical installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in Customer Service or equivalent experience
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, sales, and technology teams
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to problem solve and operate independently
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and adapt as priorities change
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites frequently, up to 80%
  • Valid driver's license, with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift or move 55lbs with or without accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or other technical degree
  • Proficiency in reading technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics
  • Experience with Mail-related equipment, copiers, or parcel lockers
  • Troubleshooting and repairing both hardware and electronic components
