Position Summary:
We are seeking an Electronics Component Program Engineer to provide technical guidance in addressing intricate commodity challenges within a design and manufacturing context. The successful candidate will engage closely with electronics component commodity engineers and program teams to tackle issues related to obsolescence, technical modifications, part shortages, and failures. This role also involves evaluating and approving electronic component selections for various development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve component-related challenges.
- Review and approve component selections to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Engage with suppliers to stay informed about future offerings and roadmaps.
- Work alongside product designers and a Technology Review Board to assess new technologies for upcoming designs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices utilized in aviation systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with customers, peers, and management.
- Ability to identify and recommend preferred and emerging technologies.
- Solid foundation in electronic components and data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated capacity for hard work and sound judgment in decision-making.
- Experience in preparing reports and documentation using computer skills.
- Proven teamwork and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate, and implement processes within budgetary constraints and timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electronics Engineering.
- Experience in selecting electronic components for military/aerospace and power and propulsion systems.
