Community Supports Direct Support Professional

At ABiLITY, we empower individuals with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives by providing essential support and resources. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in helping our clients achieve independence and integration into their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Teach and assist with daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
- Transport clients to and from the ABiLITY Day program using agency vehicles, ensuring safe and reliable transportation.
- Must be at least 25 years old at the time of application.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required; Class E Chauffeur license required within a reasonable timeframe.
- Must possess valid auto insurance with state minimum coverage.
- Level One Medication Aide (L1MA) certification required within a set timeframe.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification required within a set timeframe.
- Crisis Prevention certification required within a set timeframe.
