Job Role

We are seeking a skilled Geospatial Engineer to join our team at Ames Construction. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring safety, supporting project teams, and creating 3D models and designs for field users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Support project managers, engineers, superintendents, and other staff members.
  • Design and Modeling: Create and manage 3D models and designs for field users to perform layout work.
  • Surveying: Perform sUAS photogrammetric surveys and understand and assist with project layout and survey.
  • Quantity Takeoffs: Perform earthwork quantity takeoffs from field survey data.
  • Maintenance: Maintain as-built drawings, survey records, and manuals.
Requirements
  • Degree: Pursuing degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Software Skills: Competent in computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity: Strong knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of surveying, as well as familiarity with Trimble's suite of civil construction field equipment and software.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
