Position Title: Senior Lead Engineer - Temporary

Role Overview: We are currently seeking a Senior Lead Engineer to oversee the management and operation of critical systems. This role involves ensuring the optimal functioning of chillers, boilers, and various building systems. This is a temporary position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of chillers, boilers, and associated building systems.
  • Supervise and guide a team of Leads and Shift Engineers.
  • Ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Manage timekeeping and record-keeping responsibilities.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance tasks and subcontractor activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitor equipment performance both on-site and remotely.
  • Respond to alarms and maintain accurate operating logs.
  • Utilize testing equipment to analyze building system performance.
  • Document and report any faults or unusual occurrences.
  • Input data and generate reports from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Familiarize with emergency protocols and response plans.
  • Address service calls and implement corrective measures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • EPA CFC Universal Certification is mandatory.
  • Possession of a Journeyman HVAC License or a Second Grade Stationary License in the relevant jurisdictions is required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience is essential.
  • Proficient understanding of Building Automation Systems, chillers, boilers, and air handling units.
  • Knowledge of emergency systems and their operational protocols.
  • Experience with Central Plant operations, electrical systems, and general repairs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with BAS and CMMS databases.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance is necessary.
