Job Summary

This Staff Engineer role is responsible for leading the design and development of structural components and hardware for a military NPI program. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals and processes, and have the ability to solve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards and product requirements.
  • Develop and execute objectives for self and others, and contribute to strategy and policy development.
  • Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, and lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in design engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in design engineering.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects.
  • Established project management skills.
