The Deputy Chief Medical Officer provides strategic medical leadership support to the AHCCCS Chief Medical Officer and oversees the AHCCCS pharmacy and dental programs. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee AHCCCS pharmacy and dental programs

Requirements:
  • Arizona Drivers License
  • Licensed physician in good standing in the State of Arizona
  • Board Certified in Family Practice, Pediatrics, Ob/GYN, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, or other Medical Specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in public health, business administration, or certification in QM/UM or peer review
  • Experience in medical management as the Medical Director for a health plan or health plan system
  • Experience with one or more of the accreditation organizations
