Position Overview

The Oncology Nursing Assistant 2 plays a vital role at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, providing essential support in the Oncology Unit. This position is designed for on-call, day shift availability, requiring commitment to a flexible schedule that includes weekend and holiday shifts.

Key Responsibilities

As a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2), you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver comprehensive nursing care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with patient care tasks as directed by the RN.
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in patient conditions.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of an Acute Care CNA 2 course recognized by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN).
  • Possession of an Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
  • Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with at least one year of experience as a CNA 2 will be given preference.
