Job Description

Stantec is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Manager to lead our team in delivering large, complex transportation construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience and a degree in construction management or engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple large complex initiatives and/or projects simultaneously.
  • Oversee day-to-day construction management efforts to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Enforce contractor compliance to plans and specifications.
  • Act as the primary interface with clients, oversight representatives, regulatory agencies, etc.
  • Coordinate with field staff, third-party consultants, utility companies, public agencies, sub-contractors, and general public.

Requirements:

  • Highly effective in assembling and leading project teams.
  • Technical expert in all relevant areas of planning, analysis, construction, and systems management.
  • Understanding of various project delivery methods.
  • Accountable for making decisions on large complex projects.
  • Inspires project teams to higher levels of achievement.
