Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Ascension Genesys in Grand Blanc, MI. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Monitor and report patient vital signs and any changes in their condition.
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobility activities.
  • Perform non-sterile treatments and procedures as directed by the RN.
Requirements
  • Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Current Michigan certification as a Nurse Aide is required at hire or must be obtained prior to hire, or at least 6 months acute care Nurse aid or Patient Care Technician experience required, or have completed the first year of clinical rotation in a school of nursing required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited program required.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The Nursing Assistant must be able to lift, move, and support patients, as well as push and pull carts weighing several hundred pounds. The ability to work from ladders and to walk, stoop, and reach is also required.
