We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Cleveland office, focusing on Labor & Employment matters. The ideal candidate has at least 3+ years' experience and will maintain positive relationships with clients while upholding confidentiality.

The Labor and Employment Law Section attorneys at FMG are nationally recognized for defending employment claims across the country. We provide employers with practical advice to prevent disputes.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct thorough analysis and develop case strategies

· Prepare and respond to discovery requests

· Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings

· Explain legal options to clients and present potential outcomes or threats.

· Build strong relationships with clients

· Ability to negotiate, research, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

· Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.

· In good standing and eligible to practice law in Ohio.

· Strong critical thinking skills and academic background.

· Sense of urgency about problem-solving, meeting deadlines, and achieving goals.

· Knowledgeable, attentive, and proactive.

· Excellent communicator, negotiator, public speaker, and problem solver.

· Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting billable hours goals.

· Willing to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.

· Detail-oriented, organized, and effective.

· Professional and able to get along with people; communicates well with staff.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

· Experience with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus.
