About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team at the EAST COUNTY FAMILY LAW GROUP. As a Paralegal for Estate Planning and Probate, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys with case planning, development, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with case planning, development, and management, ensuring seamless execution of estate planning and probate matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Interview clients and gather facts and information to support the preparation of estate planning documents.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop and implement effective estate planning strategies for clients.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files related to estate planning and probate matters.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in estate planning and probate, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to produce high-quality legal documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Notary public certification, with a willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
