Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where your expertise in physical therapy will contribute towards improving the health and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities- Assist Physical Therapists in providing direct patient care, including treatments and rehabilitative exercises.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and modify individual patient care plans.
- Instruct and motivate patients during physical therapy sessions to improve their overall health and wellness.
- Monitor patient progress, document observations, and report any changes or unusual findings to the Physical Therapist.
- Implement and manage programs related to orthopedic and geriatric rehabilitation.
- Educate patients and their families about what to expect from the recovery process and how best to cope with challenges.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing and instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs.
- An associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- A current Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in orthopedic and geriatric rehabilitation.
- Outstanding patient care skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with patients, families, and other members of the health care team.
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy equipment and aids.
- Ability to handle physical workload and long hours.
- A compassionate and empathetic personality with a dedication to providing the highest standard of care.
- CPR and first aid certification.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records software would be advantageous.
