This role necessitates security clearance and requires onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Competitive Intelligence: Establish and uphold a thorough competitive intelligence framework to track competitors' strategies, products, market actions, and performance in the relevant sectors.
- Strategic Analysis: Perform detailed assessments of competitors' strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) to guide our product development and commercial strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside R&D, marketing, sales, engineering, security, and regulatory teams to share competitive insights and provide recommendations that shape product strategy and positioning.
- Facilitate the implementation of competitive strategies in the market through effective teamwork.
- Market Trends: Remain informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements that may influence the competitive landscape, providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Actionable Insights: Convert complex data and analyses into actionable insights, enabling proactive strategies to counter competitors' actions and seize market opportunities.
- Reporting: Create regular reports and presentations on the competitive landscape, offering strategic recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making.
- Marketing Material Development: Lead the creation of innovative and compelling marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital content, that effectively convey our product's unique value propositions and competitive advantages.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary expert on competitive intelligence within the organization, fostering knowledge sharing and strategic discussions among stakeholders.
- Engage with customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to gather insights that inform competitive strategies.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Possession of an active, transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.
- Master's degree in Business, MBA, Marketing, National Security, or a related discipline.
- Over 13 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or strategic analysis, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).
- Proven history of successfully identifying competitive threats and opportunities, with the capacity to influence product strategy and outcomes.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with experience in managing complex datasets and generating actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to present intricate information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in relevant sectors.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to drive alignment and focus.
- Knowledge of and experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams towards shared objectives.
- Experience in developing and executing comprehensive competitive intelligence strategies in highly regulated environments.
Annual Salary: $350,000 + Sign-On Bonus: $250,000
