We are currently in search of a Maintenance Facility Designer to become a vital part of our Maintenance Facility Consulting team. This position involves a meticulous approach to evaluating client operations and proposing optimal equipment arrangements to enhance workflow efficiency. Responsibilities will include conducting in-person assessments with clients to gather essential programming information.

The Maintenance Facility Designer will collaborate closely with Architects and Engineers to ensure that equipment specifications align with the physical and utility requirements of both new and renovated structures. The types of facilities involved will encompass vehicle maintenance, fuel management, road upkeep, and operational processes for municipal and transportation entities, including bus and rail systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing operational workflows and associated data.
  • Assessing client facility program areas to ascertain overall spatial requirements.
  • Collaborating with management and users to develop effective design and equipment layouts.
  • Compiling lists of materials and equipment needed.
  • Designing the spatial arrangement of facilities and equipment.
  • Coordinating equipment specifications with the architectural design team.
  • Creating construction drawings and specifications for bidding purposes.
  • Evaluating equipment submissions during the construction phase.

Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
  • 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle operations, processes, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and effective troubleshooting abilities.
  • Organizational skills and proficiency in documentation.
  • Required proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; BIM proficiency is preferred.
