Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of construction and leasing project management, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, quality control, and risk management.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including work breakdown structures, critical paths, and earned value management.
  • Document and control construction and construction administration documents, correspondence, and as-builts.
  • Review and reconcile payment applications and invoices from third-party contractors, architects, and engineers.
  • Attend regular meetings with VA Engineering staff, contractors, and hospital staff.
  • Ensure project success in terms of timeline, budget, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Provide occupancy planning, including move schedules, cost estimates, and inventory lists.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, repairs, and work orders for leased sites.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in construction management on projects valued at $5 million or greater.
  • Graduate of an Architectural, Engineering, or Construction Management college curriculum with a 4-year degree.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to accurately calculate construction costs and negotiate adjustments.
  • Experience with Federal and local government building projects and procedural requirements.
  • Must pass a drug test and thorough background check for access to a military installation.

Compensation details: $95,000 - $105,000 yearly salary.
