Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our low voltage systems projects, focusing on fire alarm, access control, and camera systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of several small to medium projects or one very large project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policies.
  • Effectively supervise staff in the day-to-day administration of projects or supervise multiple project managers in their daily tasks.
  • Negotiate and supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project.
  • Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project and train project assistants in maintaining project tracking devices.
  • Maintain a liaison with prime clients and architects/engineers to facilitate construction activities.
  • Monitor construction activities with onsite foremen and area superintendents to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and supervision.
  • Represent the company/project in meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc.
  • Prepare monthly costing reports and manage the financial aspects of contracts, including progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience managing electrical construction projects, specifically in fire alarm, access control, and camera systems.
  • Initiative for all aspects of the project and its success.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and experience in resolving project challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction, and related technologies.
  • Determination about planning, innovating, and improving processes.
  • Strong leadership skills, business acumen, and integrity.
  • Understanding of project financials and forecasting.
  • Ability to create and foster great relationships with the field team and understand what it takes to get the best out of your people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to achieve mutual outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • PE license is a plus.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); experience with Oracle and Accubid preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, management, staff, vendors, clients, and others.
