APPOINTMENT/TRAINING CRITERIA
Successful candidates who have fulfilled the POST training prerequisites will be appointed to a permanent, full-time role. Those who have yet to complete the POST training will be appointed on a limited-term, full-time basis, transitioning to a permanent position upon successful completion of the required training.
ROLE SUMMARY
Under the general oversight of a Supervising Agent, the incumbent will independently carry out investigations concerning criminal and administrative infractions occurring on or near ABC licensed establishments. This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding and application of investigative methodologies and protocols. Agents are expected to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with occasional travel and potential overtime requirements.
The incumbent will:
- Perform a complete range of peace officer duties in an ethical, professional, and transparent manner.
- Engage in proactive law enforcement activities and investigate public complaints regarding ABC violations.
- Conduct undercover investigations and operate in plain clothes or high-profile capacities.
- Make arrests for criminal offenses and develop operational plans for their execution.
- Document investigation activities and findings in clear, concise reports.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies.
EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES
Agents holding an Associate of Science, Associate of Arts, or Intermediate POST certificate will receive a 2.5% salary differential. Those with a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Advanced POST certificate will receive a 5% salary differential.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
