Key Responsibilities:
As a faculty member within the Patricia H. Garman School of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in the design, execution, and assessment of educational programs within a collaborative governance framework. Your duties will encompass:
1. Engaging in a variety of teaching methodologies tailored to accommodate diverse student learning preferences, including lectures, lab/clinical instruction, and online/hybrid formats.
2. Participating in the Boyer model of scholarship, which emphasizes teaching, discovery, application, implementation, and community engagement.
3. Contributing to service activities that support both D'Youville University and the broader nursing profession.
4. Maintaining regular office hours, attending departmental and college-wide meetings, mentoring students, and serving on various committees.
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will possess:
- An earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- A master's degree in nursing from a nationally recognized program.
- An unencumbered RN license in New York or eligibility for licensure in New York if licensed in another state.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A minimum of three to five years of academic experience in nursing within higher education, demonstrating a record of teaching, service, and research.
