About the Facility: Our client, a respected nursing home, is seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. The facility is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and professional environment.

Position Overview: We are looking for a Wound Care RN to provide specialized care to residents with acute, chronic, or complex wounds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for wound assessments, care planning, and treatment while working closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. This is a full-time position with hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage the treatment of residents with various wound types.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for wound management.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Monitor and evaluate wound healing progress and adjust treatments as needed.
  • Educate residents, staff, and families on wound care best practices and prevention strategies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of wound care treatments and patient outcomes.
  • Stay current on the latest wound care techniques and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in the state of New York.
  • Proven experience as a Wound Care RN, preferably in a nursing home or long-term care setting.
  • Certification in wound care (WOCN or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong clinical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
