Job Title: Nurse Manager of Cardiac Stepdown Unit

Job Summary:

  • The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Cardiac Stepdown Unit, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that the unit runs efficiently.
  • The Nurse Manager will develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • They will also be responsible for managing the unit's budget and ensuring that it is within the allocated amount.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a plan for delivering individualized goal-directed nursing care.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff to ensure that they are providing high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement a plan for improving patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Manage the unit's budget and ensure that it is within the allocated amount.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of recent acute care critical care leadership experience required.
  • BSN required; MSN or Master's Degree in related field preferred.
  • Texas State RN license or compact license accepted.
  • National Specialty Certification or plan to achieve within 1 year of hire.
  • BLS/ACLS as required.
