Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Neuro PCU/Stepdown RN Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our neurology department, you will have the opportunity to provide expert care to patients with complex neurological conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced neuro PCU environment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Contribute to the advancement of nursing practice through participation in education and research initiatives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; RN license in Texas or compact state
  • At least one year of experience in stepdown, progressive care, PCU, or intermediate care RN in an acute care hospital
  • Basic drip and EKG knowledge; ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of $28.64 - $35.83 per hour, based on experience
  • Night shift differential: $3.75 per hour; weekend differential: $4.30 per hour
  • Sign-on bonus: $15,000; relocation assistance: $3,000

Location

Our neuro PCU is located in a busy hospital setting, with a 34-bed unit and a 1:3-1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. We are a Magnet hospital with a Level 1 Trauma designation, offering a wide range of specialized services and support groups.
