Role Overview:
This position is ideal for individuals who possess a profound love for animals and enjoy spending time outdoors. While pet sitting and dog walking can be enjoyable and fulfilling, it also demands a strong work ethic and a commitment to providing thorough and responsible care. We offer flexible scheduling that accommodates your lifestyle, along with a supportive team environment that feels like family.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service designated client areas with care and attention.
- Work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on client needs.
- Visit clients' homes to spend quality time with their pets, typically for varying durations.
- Provide necessary pet care, including walking, feeding, and ensuring pets have adequate water.
- Monitor the home environment for any potential pet-related issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients and management during visits.
- Understand and interpret basic pet behavior and communication.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene for pets, including appropriate waste management.
- Ensure the overall well-being and happiness of the pets in your care.
- Travel to client locations as required.
Qualifications:
- Possess a smartphone and be proficient in using navigation apps.
- Have reliable transportation to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Demonstrate reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Exhibit punctuality and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Show compassion for animals and their owners.
- Have a basic understanding of pet behavior.
- Be comfortable working with various sizes of animals.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Be physically capable of walking significant distances daily and comfortable with being recorded in client homes.
