Medical Specialist Opportunity at Proesis Bio

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Medical Specialist to join our team at Proesis Bio. As a Medical Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors. Your primary responsibility will be to determine donor suitability in accordance with regulatory agencies and Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will also perform physical examinations for donors, review accumulated data, and lead, document, and follow-up on Donor Adverse Events (DAEs). Additionally, you will provide appropriate and confidential counseling, consult with the Center Medical Director on all abnormal test results and medical events, and monitor donors for adverse donation reactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine donor suitability in accordance with regulatory agencies and Company SOPs.
  • Perform physical examinations for donors and review accumulated data.
  • Lead, document, and follow-up on DAEs.
  • Provide appropriate and confidential counseling.
  • Consult with the Center Medical Director on all abnormal test results and medical events.
  • Monitor donors for adverse donation reactions.
Requirements:
  • Possess a current and valid RN licensure necessary for working in the state of Texas.
  • Must possess an active CPR certification.
  • One (1) or more years' experience desired (recent grads are encouraged to apply).
  • Excellent donor interfacing skills.
  • Manage emergency situations in accordance with standard medical care practices.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate computer software and Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit or stand for up to three (3) hours at a time.
  • Ability to tug, lift, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Be able to bend, stoop, or kneel.
  • Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
  • Specific vision and hearing abilities are required to be successful within the role.
