**Job Summary**
The Grants and Contracts Administrator is responsible for establishing grant budgets in the hospital financial system and analyzing detailed grant activity to ensure post-award expenses are in alignment with pre-award funding. This role requires strong analytical and computer skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities**
• Establish grant budgets in the hospital financial system
• Analyze detailed grant activity to ensure post-award expenses are in alignment with pre-award funding
• Submit quarterly expenditure and fiscal reports to granting agencies
• Lead all financial aspects of the grant program, including providing leadership and guidance at meetings and in communications with the Principal Investigator, the granting agencies, and third-party auditors
• Provide technical advice and information to staff and management as it pertains to grants

**Qualifications**
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in grants accounting is preferred, with an emphasis on post-award analysis
• Knowledge of restricted fund accounting principles, procedures, and standards required
• Ability to provide technical advice and information to staff and management as it pertains to grants
• Strong analytical and computer skills required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
