As a Security Guard, you'll be part of a team that provides a safe and secure living and working environment for staff and students ages 16-24. Your responsibilities will include overseeing security details, using your judgment and discretion to resolve student and staff issues, and conducting investigations of accidents and incidents. You'll also have the opportunity to develop and implement safety and security protocols to prevent future incidents.

Exeter Job Corps Academy is a special place, where we support the Job Corps program's mission to teach eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent. Our center specializes in Culinary Arts, Welding/Construction, Electronics Engineering, and Patient Care, so you'll have the chance to work with students and staff who are passionate about their fields.


As a Security Guard, you'll be an essential part of our team. You'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our students and staff, and for developing and implementing safety and security protocols to prevent future incidents. You'll also have the opportunity to work with students and staff to develop their skills and confidence, and to support their personal growth and development.

Responsibilities:



  • Ensures the safety and security of students and staff on center
  • Develops and implements safety and security protocols to prevent future incidents
  • Conducts investigations of accidents and incidents
  • Works with students and staff to develop their skills and confidence
  • Supports personal growth and development of students and staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:



  • 21 years or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year military, law enforcement, or security experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching
