Department: Housekeeping and Laundry
Employment Type: Seasonal Temporary
Purpose of Position:
Under the guidance of the Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeper is a non-exempt seasonal role responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of Club properties. This position ensures the highest standards of service are met, aligning with the expectations of Club members.
Key Responsibilities:
The duties include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and maintaining the Clubhouse, Cottages, Dormitory, and Golf Course Maintenance areas.
- Performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; vacuuming rugs and baseboards; and shampooing carpets.
- Dusting and polishing furniture and woodwork.
- Emptying, cleaning, and lining waste receptacles while disposing of trash appropriately.
- Washing doors, windows, walls, ceilings, and furniture.
- Changing bed linens and caring for window treatments.
- Cleaning kitchen appliances and stocking restrooms and amenities.
- Reporting maintenance needs and assisting with work orders as necessary.
- Ensuring safety practices are observed and correcting any hazards.
- Maintaining equipment and materials in proper condition.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of effective cleaning techniques and safe usage of cleaning products and equipment is essential. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication abilities. Previous experience in housekeeping is required.
Work Environment:
This role involves both indoor and outdoor tasks that require physical strength and endurance. Employees must be able to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Responsibilities may include lifting and transporting items up to 50 lbs regularly.
Projected Work Schedule:
Full-time positions require availability for a minimum of five days per week, with potential for extended hours during peak seasons.
